Welcome to Satyananda Yoga in Greece Yoga for everybody Satyanandashram Hellas is a non-profit association with a residential ashram near Athens and associated city centres, offering yoga classes, seminars and teacher training in the tradition of (also known as Bihar Yoga) as taught by the Bihar School of Yoga. It is a style uniquely adapted to the needs of modern society. It is suitable for all ages, body types, and levels of fitness and health.
As a prelude to the worldwide Satyananda Yoga Festival that is being organised in India and in order to help us prepare for it, we are planning an All Greece Satyananda Yoga Festival in Greece, in spring 2013.
As part of the build up to the weekend event public lectures will be held throughout Greece during the year. Yoga teachers all over the country will give talks or organise talks for guest swamis and yoga teachers, to inform all about Satyananda yoga throughout Greece.
As many books as possible will be printed in Greek to commemorate the event and yoga teachers, students and friends are welcome to contribute to disseminating the wisdom of yoga given to us by the masters of our tradition.

Support our work
The association is largely run by volunteers in the spirit of karma yoga (efficiency in action) and seva yoga (offering one’s time and energy for the benefit of others). It has been providing services in Greece for over 30 years and has helped thousands of people to discover for themselves the timeless value of yogic practices. All contributions and donations from the members go towards the running expenses, meeting the aims and objectives of the association and supporting the philanthropic work of Satyananda Math.
Satyananda Math is a project of Satyanandashram and aims to offer a helping hand to those who find themselves in less fortunate circumstances. It does this either directly or through collaborating with the social services and other institutions. Offering free Satyananda Yoga classes to various social organizations is part of this collaboration.
Satyananda Math further supports the aims of Sivananda Math in India.
Satyanandashram is a non-profit organization and receives no government funding. Programs and activities are open to members. Contributions and donations cover the running costs and go towards the philanthropic work of Satyananda Math to assist those in need. Contributions are non-refundable and non-transferable. Booking is essential to secure your place.
