Guru Βhakti Yoga
5th - 6th of every month
(Arrive on the previous day or by 8:00 am on the 5th & Depart 6th by 12:00 pm)
This program honours the monthly anniversary and celebration of Swami Satyananda’s Maha Samadhi. These dates mark the time of Swami Satyananda’s Maha Samadhi which took place at midnight on 5th December 2009 and his Bhu Samadhi on 6th December 2009.
These days are dedicated to exploring methods of awakening, developing and sustaining faith and devotion in the seeker on the path of yoga. Faith can move mountains and it is faith, devotion and dedication that takes us along the path of evolution to our goal. According to yoga, the goal of human life is to realise the Self, that which in reality we are. It is that Self or guru tattwa within which is synonymous with the external guru. The external guru is the person who guides us to the experience of the guru within; the guru tattwa. By constant remembrance of the guru we gradually transform our identification with the small ego-orientated self into identification with the higher Self within, and begin to express our highest human qualities and live a truly fulfilling life.

“If you practice Guru Bhakti Yoga you don’t need to practice any other yoga. Swami Satyananda practiced Guru Bhakti Yoga. That was his sadhana. It is the way to develop awareness of Guru.
Just as a miser remembers his wealth or a passionate man his lover, in the same way one develops remembrance of Guru.”
Swami Satsangi
