
Yoga classes in English
A typical class is usually one and a half hours long. It consists of asana (postures) pranayama (breathing), meditation and relaxation.
THEORY: A little theory or development of a particular theme.
ASANA: Yoga postures invigorate the body, improve health and flexibility, remove energy blockages and tension.
PRANAYAMA: Breath work awakens, balances and expands the prana or life energy in the system. Useful for inducing relaxation and lessening mental and emotional disturbances.
YOGA NIDRA: A simple guided practice done lying down, induces a systematic relaxation of all layers of being from the physical through to the psychic and provides a blissful experience
MEDITATION: Various techniques to expand awareness and develop calmness, serenity and focus, ultimately leading to a deeper understanding of our inner nature.
