
How to reach us
By taxi and/or public transport:
The ashram is situated 9 km from El Venizelos airport. It takes about 20 mins by taxi to reach the ashram from there, and costs depend on your amount of luggage, time of travel and special taxes that might apply at certain times of the year.
Alternatively take a proastiakos (suburban railway) or metro, and get off at Koropi station. There is no taxi rank at Koropi station and taxis only pass by occasionally. Therefore you should either call a taxi from the list below or take the bus 308 towards Koropi and Paiania. In Koropi it is possible to hurl a taxi on the main road. Otherwise stay on the bus until it reaches Paiania and walk the remaining distance, approx. 4km.

By car from Paiania
Coming from Athens from the north enter Demosthenes square. On the left you will see a café and straight in front of you the shop Sweet Palace. Turn left. Take the next road to the right called Anapafseos. Follow this road for about 4km. You will pass a number of landmarks: a cemetery to your right, a big sports hall to your left, a small church to your left, a road turning off to a monastery on your right and an ancient aqueduct on your left. From there follow the road for another 200m approx. until you reach a small driveway with a signpost leading to the ashram gates.
By car from Koropi
Coming from Athens from the north, turn right into Fleming Street at the beginning of the town. Follow the signs for Theatro Kekropia for about 5 km until you reach Socrates Street, turning off to the right. Follow the road to the end and turn right again. After about 30m you will find a small driveway to your left with a sign, leading to the ashram gates.
Parking
If you are driving to the ashram you may park your car outside the ashram. Please note that cars are parked at owners risk and the ashram takes no responsibility for their safety.
Satyanandashram is a non-profit organization and receives no government funding. Programs and activities are open to members. Contributions and donations cover the running costs and go towards the philanthropic work of Satyananda Math to assist those in need. Contributions are non-refundable and non-transferable. Programs are subject to change without notice. Booking is essential to secure your place.
